About Maverick

Maverick is around 2 1/2 years old. I took him in from a friends friend because he was not kept in the best conditions. He was kept in a small kennel in a house for the first year and a half of his life because of this he is food aggressive with other dogs, I can pet him when he is eating and he is just fine but if another dog is even in the area he will attack them. He is very loving to women but has never been around men. He has been good with my kids most of the time but recently has shown aggression and I no longer feel comfortable with him around my children. I know most will look at this and say no because of his back ground and that's fine, I am just hoping to find him a home that is right for him. We did just recently have to work him twice over the last couple of months so he has lost some weight but we are getting back on track with protein dog food.
