This is Nova, and this is also kind of an emergency. Please read all the way I had gotten heard from someone on Facebook, she was super skinny. When I got her, I recently rehomed her to a friend, who decided they didn't want to be my friend because of who I voted for, and so they dumped her, she ended up at the Vancouver shelter, I'm going to go pick her up in the morning, but I cannot keep her at my place, so I need to find her a home ASAP. If I don't pick her up, put her down. So a little bit of her history. Like I said, I got her from someone on Facebook, she was super skinny, and very skittish. She's not leash reactive, but with animals in the home, she gets anxious, she doesn't like to share, so she resource guards. She has bitten my other dog before, and that is part of my rehome her, I worked with her for a little bit, but then I found out that I was pregnant, I had too many dogs, and I gave her to my so-called friend. My dad and I are going to go up in the Morning to pick her up, because neither of us believes she needs to be put down, and she doesn't belong to shelter, temporarily, searching for her. She would need to be the only animal in the home, if there are other dogs, it needs to be the slowest and introduction, with somebody who is very familiar with how to do so, like a trainer or something. But honestly, I would just recommend that she was the only animal in the home. I understand that that's not the greatest dealbreaker for people. But she is a sweetheart, she'll just sit around on the couch and chew on her bone, she gets excited when you come home, she likes to go for walks, she's pretty good on walks, she is very trainable, She's motivated, and she's very loyal. She's a great dog, I'm hoping maybe somebody will give her a chance. But it will take her some time to get through the trauma that she's been through, so if someone's willing to be patient with her, that would be awesome. I'm gonna try to hold onto her for now, but I already have the maximum amount of animals in my home, and given that she did bite, another dog that I have, when she felt like maybe he was more attention than she was. And then I have a cat, which she has growled at my cats before, I actually rehomed my cat because I wanted that cat to be safe, and I wanted to work with Nova on her training. I'm going to continue training with her until I find her home. This is kind of an emergency, I don't wanna lose my housing over this, I don't want to be put down, and I can't just abandon her. So if there's anybody that can take her even if it's just for a week well we may be fine. Somebody else, I don't wanna, but I want to be in shelter. Unfortunately, a lot of shelters wouldn't be willing to take her because of her bite, which isn't fair to her, she should be able to to be given a chance to show her true colors. She is not inherently a violent dog, she just had been through a lot.
