Chesea is a sweetheart of a girl, hoping for her own family for the holidays. She came to us heartworm positive and very timid from being in the shelter. Chesea was a stray in Detroit, so little is known about her background, but it's thought she was tied up outside at her previous home. After five months in foster, Chesea is done with her heartworm treatment and has blossomed! She is fully house trained and does fine loose in the house while adults are at work. She loves kids and gets along fine with the resident dog. Chesea will need training for leash reactivity but is treat-motivated and being worked with in the foster home. Chesea weighs just over 50 pounds - she's a short stack, chunky girl. Her fur will grow long (she needed to be shaved down due to mats). Her perfect day would be a walk in the morning, breakfast, sleeping in the sun, an afternoon walk, a few more naps, dinner, and the rest of the evening on the couch. is there room in your house for her?
