About Buddy

Buddy is a beautiful 55 pound, 5 year old Australian Kelpie, who was abused and whom we rescued in the summer of 2023. He was so skinny you could see his ribs. We thought we would try him out and see if we could help him. So we kept him. I think we have gone as far as we could. He has settled down quite a bit but has a bit more to go. He had night terrors as well as anxiety about being left alone and better left with another dog. He is very loving and enthusiastic. Loves to cuddle and meet new people and dogs. Our other dog helped Buddy learn to be a dog in some ways. He shows appreciation his food and loves a bully stick and a toy or two. Needs a walk and dog play. He is definitely a prey animal loves to chase squirrels and bunnies. Gets so focused. Has learned simple commands but still working on not pulling on the leash and not jumping on people. Loves to be outside and running in a big yard with another dog. Why am I trying to get rid of such a magnificent dog? I am in my 70's and he's simply too much dog for me to handle. He is very smart and has a lot of energy. But I certainly loved getting him ready for you! I will need to take him to a shelter if I can't find him a new home.
