About Dottie

Dottie is a purebred Mini Australian Shepard. She just turned 6 (her birthday is 11/11)! She is a loving, sweet, tried and true companion. As a working dog, she has some anxious tendencies, and might need a moment when meeting new friends, but once you're a part of the 'herd' she loves you for life! (It doesn't take too long to get there.) She loves to snuggle, get pets, and play with a ball. She has some good energy, but has also been well trained (by Dog Wizard), and knows many commands and enjoys following her 'duties.' She does well with adults and older children. It would best for her to be in a home without small children. We are surrendering her to a new home because of an instinctual incident that occurred with our 5 year old when Dottie was hiding a treat and we were unaware. While we know this was an isolated incident, and it could have been much worse, we need to find her a new home where this unfortunate situation will not occur again. She still has SOOO much love to give and we are looking for a home for her ASAP. If you're local to Louisville, our Dog Trainer will even come to your house and teach her the tools that she knows!
