Mattie is a gorgeous, sweet, playful, and affectionate, golden-eyed, five-month-old, five-pound, calico kitten looking for a loving guardian. Mattie was delivered to Friends of Petraits Rescue in a police squad car escorted by her rescuer Officer Matt Traynelis. Found in a family's backyard, her original family moved and left her behind. She was screaming to be let in and wasn't wearing tags on her collar and she wasn't microchipped. Mattie doesn't know what a stranger is. She's not one to hide. In fact, she jumps in any lap she can find. She's also worked her way into the hearts of dogs and other cats. She is an all-around fabulous feline who uses her litter box and scratching post like a good girl. She is now very healthy, dewormed, de-flead, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies and distemper and virus-tested negative. To meet and possibly adopt Mattie, please fill out an adoption application https://friendsofpetraits.com/cat-adoption-application/ After the application is complete, please contact [email protected] to schedule an appointment to meet them. Her adoption fee of $175 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. She is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
