Oakley is 50 lbs of playful sweet dog but still somewhat reactive even after professional training and continuous reinforcement. We live in a busy apartment complex and he needs a calmer environment preferably with a yard. he needs someone experienced with reactive dogs and can continue training. He has a history of nipping when he senses a perceived threat. My trainer is attempting to find a placement and does not feel he needs behavioral euthanasia. However, he nipped an employee of the complex and I am under threat of eviction if I don't remove him by the 20th. I can't afford to break my lease and move, I live on Social Security. So if he can't be placed with someone, somewhere, I will have only one choice left.
