The adoption donation of $175.00 covers spay / neuter, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and current monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. When we first discovered Drifter, he was just that, a 'drifter.' Being shooed and scared away from place after place, he began to not trust anyone. The final place he showed up at (his current foster home) saw hope for him, and after several weeks, were able to catch him in a trap. He was terrified and didn't know what to do, so he lashed out. This didn't scare the foster family, they just knew he needed time and space to trust. Slowly but surely, they have gained his friendship, and now he isn't as fearful anymore. He does get scared still when meeting new people, so any potential adopters will need to have several meet and greets with him until he is comfortable with a new family. He loves running and playing with the other dogs in his home. In his home is also a cat whom he could care less about. He even gets along with the foster kittens who love to play with him. He is great with children. He is great with children because doesn't see them as a threat.
