About Concho

CONCHO is a 10 year old, 7.6 pound Chihuahua mix who was found as a starving stray. We don't know how long this poor boy was out on his own but he is grateful to be in a home where he is getting regular food and has a soft bed! CONCHO is very snuggly and loves being with his person and giving kisses. He likes attention and is so happy in a lap! He will follow his person everywhere, and if you bring him home you will never go to the bathroom alone again! Concho is good with other small dogs, but doesn't interact with them too much. He would be fine as an only dog or with another calm dog that won't mind sharing their person's lap with a friend. Concho is potty trained but had an accident or two while learning the routine in his foster home. As soon as he got it down, he was perfect. He is ok on a leash, but since he was found as a stray we would like him to have a home with a fenced yard. He eats well and if you have another dog he will go check out their food bowls if he finishes before they do. He listens well if you tell him no though. At night, Concho will sleep in a doggy bed and if you prefer that he is in an open door crate with a doggy bed, he will be good like that too. Overall he's just a really great little dog who will be a wonderful companion for somebody looking for a quiet lap dog! CONCHO has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about CONCHO: We have no idea how he would be with cats, and if there are kids in the home they should be older since he is a senior boy and probably won't enjoy a very active home. He tends to be underfoot so he could be a trip hazard.
