About Chuck aka Chapparo

Chuck came to us from Yuma because he was having some challenges with his back legs. He does have ACL injuries but they are old and were untreated so no surgery is needed. He actually is getting more mobile at his foster home and is taking walks with the pack which makes him very happy. We are doing a trial off of pain meds and he is doing well and does not seem to be having any negative effects. We are hoping to be able to just use quality joint supplements for now, and he may need CBD down the road if he becomes painful but currently he does not seem to be. He is a very sweet and well mannered dog and is housebroken with a dog door and regular opportunities to get out. He does fine in a crate though is totally reliable to free roam in the home. Chuck is estimated to be around 6 years old and is 23-24 lbs. He can be a bit timid and unsure of new situations but warms up pretty quickly.
