Meet Apollo-a 3-year-old German Shepherd and Lab mix who's been waiting patiently in his shelter kennel, watching each day as families pass him by. He came to the shelter with his sister on October 19th after their family faced a sudden crisis. His sister has already found a new home, but Apollo is still there, alone, wondering when his turn will come. Apollo is more than just a beautiful dog with an angel marking on his chest; he's a gentle soul who's had his world turned upside down. He's house-trained, non-destructive, and known for his sweet, goofy personality. When he bonds with someone, he bonds hard, and all he really wants is to be near you. He's a fast learner who just craves stability, and he's the kind of dog who can make any place feel like home. This boy would thrive in a place where he can run freely-a fenced yard or a bit of land to explore. He doesn't get along with cats, chickens, or other small animals, as he has a strong chase instinct, but with people, he's gentle, loving, and eager to please. Though he's a strong dog on the leash, volunteers say he listens beautifully, takes treats softly, and is never jumpy. Apollo's been waiting for weeks now, sitting at CMACC with no outings and no relief from the constant noise and stress. He deserves to feel safe, to know he hasn't been forgotten.
