Meet Brown Dog (aka Brown Dug): The PERFECT dog! He's good with other dogs, cats, kids, adults, calm, knows all basic commands, super intelligent, loves to ride in cars, well behaved, we can't say enough good things about Brown Dug! We've only found 1 thing he needs to improve on: loose leash walking, he does like to pull... but quickly turns back when asked. Abandoned in The Brown Center parking lot, Brown Dog's past is a mystery, but one thing's for sure-he's a Very Good Boy with a huge heart. Brown Dog was diagnosed with heartworms and Lyme disease. He's already started prescription treatments, and he'll return to the vet on December 16, 2024, to begin his heartworm treatment journey. While his recovery will take time, we're committed to seeing him through every step of it. We'll know the last week of July 2025, if he's heartworm free...say a prayer for him to get good news! Despite all he's been through, Brown Dog remains happy, affectionate, and always eager for treats and human attention. He's a wonderful travel buddy and is incredibly focused on his person, always eager to please.
