A homeless women allowed us to take her companion, Scout, in order that she might go into a shelter to get back on her feet. We are unable to keep him because of family health issues and our own older dogs health issues. At the time we took him in, we were not aware that the local shelters and humane societies would not accept surrenders without an appointment....our is nearly a month out. With my mother being in her final stages of cancer and our dogs sever hip issues, we just cannot keep him. We are desperate for a foster home or a forever home for him. The adoption fee is only to help assure a good home for him. He loves to play, is house broke, is good with a leash, does not like crates, but could be trained. He has been well cared for. We believe he is chipped. He follows basic commands and returns when called. He has only been around our granddaughter once and after a short period of time, they warmed up to each other. He warms up slowly to people, but within just a bit, is able to trust them. Please help us, help Scout.
