About Azul

This pretty Cattle Dog mix is Azul. She was born in June 2024 and will likely be 40 pounds or smaller when she is done growing. Azul already knows sit and lie down. She is working on stay. Azul loves her crate. She sleeps quietly in it at night. She is almost completely housed trained as well. She will just need reinforcement in her new home. Azul is a sweet girl who wants to be friends. She is also timid and warms up faster to women than men. She prefers that people give her a moment to get to know them before someone tries to pet her. Treats help her warm up faster! Like a typical herder pup, she can be a bit mouthy so isn't a fit for small kids. Azul is nice with other dogs. She also likes to play with dog friends at the dog park. She is a good girl on leash and gets calmer and calmer walking past strangers as her training progresses. She was nervous in urban settings at first and has now been walked by construction sights and through neighborhoods and market shops daily. Azul also is good in the car. She would be a wonderful hiking and road trip buddy. She does need an active home. A mile isn't a hike for her. Azul lives to play fetch. She also loves walks and will need someone to keep her busy. Azul is a very loving and affectionate dog, eager to please and highly intelligent. She is the typical herder shadow who follows her person around the house, and lays at the feet when it's time to stop. She loves to sit beside her foster mom on a park bench to people and dog watch, or even sit on a log in the woods to watch the birds. Azul is spayed and current on vaccines. She is located in Tucson, Arizona, and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
