Aloha: This is a sad one and a tough one!! Aloha, 2 years old, was found as a stray and brought to our friend, trainer Joe at DogFitLa. Joe integrated her into his pack and his family. Aloha started having seizures. Joe's alpha dog, Nala, attacked Aloha during one particular seizure and left Aloha (and the family) traumatized. Since then, Aloha has been on seizure medication and the seizures have stopped. But now Joe needs to protect her from the pack for her own safety. This means crating her and keeping her separated from the dogs-and consequently the family. As much as they'd miss Aloha, they would like to see her in a home environment where she is able to roam freely and participate in family activities. She is dog-friendly and is professionally trained. Her seizures have abated. She is 3 years old, and likely a blend of shepherd/cattle dog. She's good with kids. With large dogs being killed in shelters every day, this is a big ask. But there must be someone out there with other gentle dogs who could add Aloha to their pack and give her the life she deserves. Joe feels strongly that she would thrive. Joe and Aloha are located in the Valley. Contact us at: [email protected]
