About Penny

Adoption Fee: $300
Cocker Spaniel / Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Penny has been recently returned. She became very attached to her new Mommy and showed separation anxiety . A lot of tension developed in the household as they were also dealing with a terminally ill family member and having to frequent the hospital. No ill comments please. They were wonderful people and really tried their best under a dire circumstance. Penny was also the only dog in their household. We think that was a big part of the problem. She is used to being around multiple dogs. Now that she is back at the Misfits she is thriving. She appears much better than she was when she was here the first time. She seems to be potty trained and pretty much acts like a normal dog. I think she just needs a calm, relaxed, atmosphere. We have to acknowledge that she is obviously very sensitive. Here is her new bio and a photo with her new haircut! If you have previously applied please message us if you are still interested. Please carefully read the newer requirements. Penny is a lovable 2-year-old pup weighing in at 14.5 pounds. Initially a breeding dog, she was labeled as a mini goldendoodle, but we think she has more of a cockapoo vibe with her sweet personality! This affectionate girl is all about companionship. She'll happily follow you around and loves to cuddle up. Penny can be a bit nervous in new situations, so she'll need a patient and understanding home. Penny is still quite puppy-like and has a playful spirit. She adores toys and enjoys playing with other dogs. She'd thrive best in an all adult household with a at least one other dog. While she hasn't been tested with cats, she doesn't show any prey drive. She's mostly potty trained. She loves to sleep in bed with you, and sleeps well through the night. Penny is also leash trained and loves her walks. Penny is up-to-date on her shots, microchipped, heartworm tested, and spayed. Her teeth are clean and healthy, and she has no known medical conditions. Penny needs a loving home where someone is around often to help her build confidence and learn the ropes. If you think you could be the right match for this sweet girl, please apply at www.misfitsdogrescue.org. Her adoption fee is $300.
