About Gracie

Gracie is a RidgeBack German Shepard. (no papers) She turned 2 on October 17th 2024. Her and her brother were rescued at 4 weeks... bottle fed, tissue wiped, raised by my grandkids, adopted by my wife. Gracie is super smart, loves fetching and catching her ball. She rides well in my wives SUV as well the back seat of my pick up. She knows hand commands as well as voice commands (English). She's super house broken, (she waits or scratches at the door to go outback, if you don't pay attention she will bark at you). She will bark at you to let you know what she wants. ((sometimes my wife claims she's arguing)).She has toys that hold peanut butter, that's what she wants, She will bring her ball drop it letting you know she wants to fetch and catch. If you leave it down she'll get her leash, know what she wants. My wife and I have had surgeries that won't allow us to care for her the way she needs. I'm 70 my wife 68. We love this girl to death but it's not right to her that we're not meeting her needs. She's never been allowed on the furniture, she has a place near to the dining table to lie down when we are eating. She's only once taken food from a plate that was also our fault,,,she is a dog. She gets a bone almost every night, she goes to her bed while we quietly watch tv. OH she watches tv especially dogs in movies or shows and some commercials. She lives for pet me, play with me. Gracie comes with a large cage that she usually sleeps in, a 4 ft round bed, sliding door ,,, doggie door, a container that holds 30 lbs of food, (she has always eaten IAMS mini chunks) her off the floor feeding bowls, and more. This is heart breaking for us but she deserves more than we're able to give. Gracie needs some kids or someone that has the ability to spend time with her.
