About Louie

Louie came into the Vinton County Dog Shelter as a stray pick up. We are not sure of his breed, but he is fully grown and weighs about 45lbs. Louie is a very sweet guy who is great at showing us his appreciation for his safety and regular meals. He would likely be great with people of all ages, and we believe he will be good with other dogs (we have not yet had the opportunity to introduce him to any but will be soon). Louie is gentile, calm, enjoys pets and roaming outside his kennel. We believe he was previously kept on a chain, and likely deprived of love. He still has green oxidization stains around his neck, seemingly from a thick heavy metal chain. He does not let his previous conditions affect him though. Louie seems confident and has loved everyone he has met since being here at the shelter. Louie's adoption, as well as our other shelter dog's adoptions are currently sponsored/free.
