About Indy

Meet Indy, born on March 7, 2020, and adopted from a farm in Indiana! This big, lovable guy has a calm and gentle nature most of the time, making him a sweet companion who loves nothing more than sleeping, getting love, and keeping an eye on things as a watchdog. As much as he's a sweetheart, he does come with some challenges. He has dog selectivity and picks and chooses which dogs he likes versus those he does not. Additionally, he may guard food and toys. He needs a new owner who's both patient and willing to work with him. I love him to pieces and have had him since he was 7 weeks old. He is such an easy-going dog, and it breaks my heart that it has come to this. I have tried training and other means - but have realized that with my current schedule and demands that I cannot give him the regimen he needs. I would love for him to go to a home nearby that will be able to provide me with periodic updates about how he is doing! I am willing to drive anywhere within 4-5 hours. He's a low-energy dog who doesn't require a lot of exercise and is quite manageable on the leash-ideal for someone who enjoys leisurely walks and cozy days at home. I truly hope to find someone who can give him a caring new home that will help him reach his full potential.
