Courtesy Posting: X URGENT AT PALMDALE, CA (SO CAL) ID #A5660516 - LOS ANGELES COUNTY ANIMAL CARE - 'JULIA' is expected to be RESCUE ONLY - NEEDS A FOSTER TOO - 2 YR, 36 lb FEMALE CHOW - FOUND DUMPED AT A SCHOOL, LIKELY HAS ENTROPION, SHELTER ALREADY ISSUED WARNING. HAD BEEN IN SHELTER PREVIOUSLY AND DOG FRIENDLY. WE NEED A CHOW SAVVY FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT AND OR A RESCUE TO SAVE HER. Emergency- soon to be euthanized, shelter sent notice 11/3 asking for her rescue, even before her chip/stray hold was up! We are in urgent need of finding a foster and rescue for this gorgeous, petite chow girl who is listed as 2 years old, chipped with a name of Julia. This is the same beautiful chow who was adopted as a puppy from another LA shelter earlier this year. At the time, we were told by the other shelter, 'She is also good with other dogs and is currently being housed with another dog. She is a super sweet and calm dog.' We had also requested the prior shelter to fix her eyes. Poor Julia was recently found as a stray with feces caked all over her behind, matted fur, likely underweight, and still having entropion which is very painful. Corrective surgery could be provided by a rescue group and we have requested this of the new shelter as well. We have also requested a new video and behavior assessment. However, the shelter is expected to make her Rescue Only (for medical and or behavior as she came in stiff and tense in fear, understandably) and she will then need to be pulled by a Rescue Partner.
