Gus is an outstanding companion. My family and I adopted him from another family who had recently lost their wife/mother and with three children could not provide him with the attention he deserved. He is a purebred GSD, my sister was the breeder. After we brought him home, he was great 95% of the time. Unfortunately he growled at my wife when she tried to help hime down the stairs and again at a friend teenage daughter. In both cases i think he felt cornered and communicated his distress via growl. We just welcomed our 3rd boy to the house and my wife has expressed concern with him which is whT lead me to post this request. If i had to imagine the perfect person to adopt my Gus it would be a single man, maybe mature, possibly a veteran. He really is a great dog, happy personality, always ready to walk, play and just hang. Reach out if you're interested. Appreciate your time in reading this and considering Gus.
