This is a final plea to try and find Lee Lee a forever home. We have had her a few weeks and she is an amazing dog, but we will be leaving the country soon, so we really need all hands on deck to try and find her a permanent home. She is such a sweet girl and we want to avoid her going to back to the shelter, so we would be grateful for everyone's help before our time fostering her is up. We have certainly seen the comments saying 'she has chosen her family,' 'foster fail?,' which we appreciate, but keeping Lee Lee permanently right now is not possible for us. If we were able to keep a pup permanently right now, Lee Lee would certainly be the choice as she really is amazing. She is a solo dog/animal and will need to go to a home without other pets. I've updated this post from our original so you can get a full picture of this loving girl. I've attached tons of photo's of her time in our home with my family. Lee Lee is an amazingly friendly and happy-go-lucky girl. She is a big girl at 73 pounds, but loves to be cuddled, which you can see in the photo's. I don't think anyone thought to pick her up and cuddle her like a baby, but once I did, it was a wrap and she wanted me to hold her for hours a day. She is extremely loving and gentle and she is very chill. She loves naps and spends most of her time relaxing around the house. She is truly one of the shining gems available through Lifeline! She knows the commands sit, lay down, stay, shake, come that we were able to observe and is potty trained - not a single mess. She got right into the nightly routine and goes right to her bed in our bedroom and is usually asleep within 60 seconds of us jumping into bed. She usually doesn't get out of bed until we get up in the morning. I think Lee Lee gets overlooked a bit, because she might seem a bit intimidating when you first see her, but she is an absolute lover girl, is gentle and friendly, and would make an amazing family dog. She just loves to be loved and is friendly to everyone she meets. She is also a great car rider, going on many errands with us. We have gone through drive-thru's for lunch and ate in the car and she has not tried to snatch any food out of anyone's hands even though she sits in between my daughters in the back while they eat. She gets excited for toys and likes to play with them . She has the softest fur on her big head and loves to have her face and head pet. She really is one of the friendliest and most loving dogs I've ever met. It appears she was used for breeding as some of her tummy and nipples hang down a bit, but that doesn't affect her in any way. It's pretty clear why she was used for breeding as she is absolutely beautiful and has such a sweet, calm, and loving temperament. We have also left her alone for several hours in the house multiple times and allowed her to roam freely and she has not gotten into anything at all or made any messes - she is a good girl the entire time. We set up a Ring camera to check in on her and she mostly just lays around other than an occasional lap or peek out the window to see if we were home yet. She definitely misses us when we leave and is very happy to see us when we return - a very loving puppy that connects quickly with her owner/family. We have no negative feedback about Lee Lee whatsoever. She is an amazingly loving dog and would fit perfectly in any home, including those with kids. She was an absolute sweetheart to everyone in our family and wanted to do nothing but give and receive love and take naps. She is a great family dog and a great sidekick. If you would like to see Lee Lee and learn more about adopting her, please contact me. She is being fostered at our home in Douglasville. You can come visit her here, or we are happy to meet you closer to your location so you can meet this sweetheart. We are also happy to answer any questions.
