I am in desperate need of finding a new home for a stray that was apart of a colony I TNR'd. Her name is Tortie, she is extremely sweet, as soon as she sees someone she starts purring immediately! The night before Halloween I believe she was hit by a car. She has a complete break at the base of her tail and her nerves have been damaged causing her to lose control of her bladder and bowels, the vet says we have to amputate her tail and there's a chance her nerves won't heal and she'll be incontinent forever.%A0 I cannot financially or mentally take care of a special needs cat, I'm unemployed and have other animals to care for already.%A0 She's very young, probably not even 2 years old and she is extremely sweet and still so full of life, I do NOT want to put her down.%A0 She needs someone that can care for her how she needs and can give her a comfortable happy life, but several rescues are telling me she is unplacable and they would put her down. She is able to walk there's no damage to her legs or pelvic area, just the break at her tail and nerve damage, and she'll possibly be incontinent for the rest of her life.%A0I am able to care for her until she heals from the amputation surgery, but I can't house her for months unfortunately. There is a chance her nerves will heal and she'll gain control of her bladder and bowels again, but it'll be a long recovery.
