It breaks my heart to have to write this. Hazel has become my best companion during a huge transition time in my life. We go on at least 2 hikes daily and she loves to be outside. Unfortunately, she chases my 2 cats and a house with no cats is necessary for her. She has a pretty high energy level and she also requires a home with a yard so she can get all those zoomies out. Once she goes on those hikes and exerts her energy, she conks out or focuses her attention on squeaky toys. She is almost fully grown at 18 pounds, and loves car rides. She is actually very calm in the car. We do have to disclose that she has a bite history. Her high energy occasionally turns into resource guarding and food aggression and if triggered, a switch turns on and she growls/tries to bite. She needs someone with an alpha personality who can take control and she may need training for this as well. For the right person/family, she could be a really great fit, but for us right now it has been a little hard. We are committed to finding a home that is right for her. Thank you for considering our Hazel.
