Rescued from Saginaw, TX animal shelter February 29th 2020 at 1 year old. Born into an abusive dog fighting house, abandoned by the owner and left to starve. Saved from euthanasia twice by shelter workers, was adopted by a loving family. After a couple months, fear and cowering gave way to an energetic, joyful, playful, and happy dog. She has basic obedience training, some leash training, and is crate trained. She loves to play with other medium to large sized dogs, and has a strong prey drive. Poppy loves to dig and run, and is slowly picking up on fetch. After her initial shyness fades with time, she is a fun, goofy, loving dog.
