About Eevee

Eevee is a sweet dog that loves being around his people. He loves to cuddle. He is a lover once he gets to know you. Eevee loves to play ball. He is crate trained. He is good with the groomer. The vet is a little scary for him but once the peanut butter comes out he does better. We have worked with a trainer to try and build communication with Eevee. He loves his walks but struggles with not pulling. He knows basic commands. Our reason for needing to rehome Eevee is due to Eevees need to control his environment during stressful situations. Such as other dogs barking while on walks, someone he does not know walking up, toddlers doing toddler things like tantrums. He also has been demonstrating a little bit of resource guarding with toddlers. Eevee does not like people ringing the doorbell or knocking. He will get protective. For this we have worked on him going to a spot like his bed and asking him to stay. Once the guest has come in and Eevee is calm we let him go say hello. Eevee does not like sudden or loud noises. When we got Eevee in August he was 30 lbs over weight. Previous owners would feed him people food and he is sneaky with counters and tables. He has lost a lot of that weight with us due to him just getting his food. Eevee would be great for someone who loves the outdoors.
