She is about 10-12 years old and weighs 45-50lbs. Faded Glory is working on her glow-up. When she arrived to us, she was underweight and was red, itchy, scabby, and all over uncomfortable. She has allergies that had gone chronically untreated, and it took a toll on her skin. She is now getting on the right track and is feeling and looking soooo much better! She has gained weight and is able to enjoy the little things in life again, instead of focusing all of her energy on how itchy she was feeling. Her awesome foster fam have learned a lot about her, and here are some of the takeaways!: -Loves people including tweens/teens & adults -Potty trained -Wants to be with people without being needy/pushy for attention -Likes to cuddle -Likes belly rubs -Can push open a lever-handled door, will scratch at door to find people or if stuck in a room -Can settle to be alone with a cozy bed for several hours at a time once used to surroundings -Can be playful with people, jumps up to give kisses as part of play -Has met other dogs nicely -Not interested in playing with larger, younger, rambunctious foster brothers -Mostly quiet, has only barked when telling another dog that she didn't want to play, did cry/howl a bit when left alone at first but not since settling in, crying/howling was not especially loud, makes funny almost cat-like noises when playing -Would be better suited to mature, mellow dog siblings or fine as an only dog -Met cats in foster home but ignored them after initial sniff -Non-reactive to another dog being a jerk from other side of fence -Likes chewing Nylabones -Chewed up a tennis ball and rope toy that were given to her, but has not chewed any inappropriate items even when left on the floor -Not really into dry kibble, loves wet food, willing to eat dry kibble with wet food mixed in -Easy to give oral meds in a bit of wet food, doesn't like her ears messed with--just squirmy, non-aggressive -Likes leashed walks or exploring the yard -Does not hear well, would be best suited for not-too-big fenced yard or commitment to always leashed walks/potty trips -Tolerates bathing even though she doesn't enjoy it -Vet has recommended food not containing chicken or turkey, vet suggested salmon-based food as a good option for skin issues I'm fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. I am $87.50 to bring home! If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions .
