Hey there everyone! I'm Camo, a super-sweet, gentle, and affectionate 36-pound sterling-silver-gray Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix fella who was born about November 2021. I know I look like a foreboding bully, but I'm a canine marshmallow who loves to give kisses and play with my toys. I love all ages of hoomans and get along great with other dogs. We Staffies are known to be loving, sweet-natured, extremely loyal, trustworthy, and patient companions -- which all add up to making us an ideal family pet. We're noted for displaying an overwhelming eagerness to please our family. Confident, yet not aggressive, we possess a very all-round mild, playful, pleasant temperament. We're so good with kids that we've been nicknamed 'the child's nursemaid.' Physically, I have a short, broad head and an impressive rock-solid, muscular, athletic build with my deep, broad chest. Yet I have surprisingly long legs that suggest strength and agility. I need a rigorous daily exercise regimen to maintain my muscle tone. Although our heritage as a canine gladiator has been carefully bred out, we Staffies can display courage as tenacious fighters if we're provoked. Because we're highly protective of our family, we make great watchdogs. I do need a calm, confident, consistent owner who enforces boundaries and has a patient approach to obedience training. I was left tied to a pole during after-hours at Miss Donna's grooming/ boarding facility. I guess my owner couldn't afford to care for me anymore and thought that Miss could find me an amazing new home. I know that my chances of a 'happily ever after' are much better with her than my chance of being euthanized at a kill-shelter. If you're looking for a true-blue loyal companion, I hope you'll arrange to meet me! I may look like a bully dog on the outside, but I'm one of the sweetest, most exuberant fellas you'll ever meet. Camo is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
