About Raji

RAJI is a very sweet year 2 year old, 62 pound apricot Standard Poodle surrendered to us because he was too much dog for the little dogs in his home. RAJI is just a big puppy. He is happy, active, loving, and playful! He loves everyone he meets and thrives on attention. He would do very well with an active family and would probably love to have some older kids to play with. Raji gets along well with dogs of all sizes and loves wrestling with them. He would be fine in a home with a dog his size or smaller, but he plays too rough for a very small dog. His best home will have another active dog in it. Raji loves playing fetch and will sometimes run off with the ball. He also loves playing with chew toys but they have to be really tough chew toys as he is an aggressive chewer. He loves, loves, loves to run around the backyard and play and we are looking for a home with a privacy fenced yard. He also loves car rides and long walks. He does require a firm hand when walking as he is distracted easily, but he redirects fairly quickly. He is very treat motivated. Raji is completely housebroken and will let himself out the doggie door or let you know when he wants to go out by coming to you and laying his head on you. If you ignore and just pat him, he will bark and tell you its time! At night he will sleep in a dog bed or a kennel. RAJI has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He is very smart and learned to use the doggie door in about 2 hours.
