About DD

Hello, my name is DD. I was abandoned on a property by my previous owners. The actual homeowners took care of me for a while, but they wanted to give me a real chance at life instead of one on a chain behind their home. I am a petite shelter dog with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family to give me a chance. Though I may be a little distrusting at first-an understandable reaction given my past of abandonment and neglect-I warm up quickly to those who show me kindness. My small size makes me a perfect fit for apartment living or for families seeking a smaller companion. Once I feel comfortable, I am incredibly affectionate and enjoy playful interactions with other dogs. I thrive in a social environment and would do well in a home with older children who can engage with me. If you're looking for a loving and loyal friend, I could be the perfect addition to your family. Give me the chance I deserve! I am 33 pounds and 1 year old. I do appear to be full grown! I have been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and have tested negative for heartworm disease. I am in Humboldt, TN but can be transported to other states. Please note, there is a transport fee.
