About Jack

Meet Jack! Jack is fitting in comfortably in his foster home as part of a two dog household. He is friendly and affectionate with all visitors (2 legged and 4 legged) and is usually seen wagging his tail. He walks well on a leash and is housebroken with a dog door (and possibly could notify also if someone did not have a dog door). He is 9-10 years old and around 16 lbs (but could stand to lose a couple). Jack is active, plays with toys, likes to be on the couch next to his human and does prefer to sleep on the bed. Jack is an excellent house guest, welcoming to dogs and people, but he does have a feisty side. While out on walks he reacts to other dogs and his walker must keep him under control, which may be a challenge to some. Jack enjoys his back yard but does bark at people and other dogs walking by. He came to us when one of his humans died and his other human was no longer able to care for him. Because of his easy-going nature he could fit into lots of different family situations as a single dog, or part of a pack. Jack got a dental while in the rescue and is also neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is overall in very good health and is a real joy to have around.
