heading: we're looking for someone with a lot of free time and willingness to spend with the puppy. He's a good boy no doubt about it but a lot of the times it's hidden behind a very naughty, stubborn boy so patience and love I believe is the key with rare but very much required shows tough love. essential info: Puppy of 6,5 months German Shepherd (not purebred) most likely mixed with Labrador / Belgian Shepherd Name is Khan (Genghis Khan etc) Weight is probably 65-70 pounds about 24 inches long. Massive paws and sharp strong teeth. Wisdom teeth are gone Chewing toys and hard meat sticks are a must. All good on his shots and diet. Not yet neutered. background: First 3 months of his life he lived in a homeless tent community along with his sibling and mother. Puppy didn't have a perfectly healthy living obviously but the owner seemed pet oriented and cared for the animals sincerely. Mother was young and healthy Belgian Malinois according to owner and her appearance which resembles red coated malinois with black mask. No photos or information on a breed of the sire but it must have been GSD and / or Labrador as Khan looks nothing like his Belgian mom or brother. personality: Additionally, his behavior and personality are extremely similar to a purebred Labrador I used to nanny for my friends back in the day. Will jump and tackle the owner when greeting back home to show affection sometimes too physically. Wants to accompany the owner at all times and for all activities. German shepherd puppies I've had experience with before were naturally trainable and cooperative about their playtime. Khan is a different animal for sure and hardly ever trades fun for training but he's lovely and joyful around the clock without a mean spirited bone in his body. Most times he'd be happy to engage other pets and people to give hugs and kisses but is not aware of how much of a big boy he is. Cool with cats but does wanna play with them so might bark and cry if ignored. physical: He's a good boy no doubt about it but a lot of the times it's hidden behind a very naughty, stubborn boy so patience and love I believe is the key with rare but very much required shows tough love. Just tough love won't work. Disagreeable naturally so will engage in stubborn deadlocks sometimes but it can be fun if you know how to deal with it. Seems it comes from strong will and physical abilities: in our local dog park he's the only puppy accepted in main adult group of dogs and kinda clears half of them during rough plays since he was 3 months old. Just strong as hell, very quick and agile, lots of stamina but not an aggressor whatsoever and submits a lot of times recognizing other dog's seniority. But if some dogs tries to abuse it he mauls them quite easily and walks away. Given how frequently we visit the park where he kinda is treated like one of topdogs he's kind of feeling it even when we're back home I guess. A lot of potential to be a real protector of your household if given time and effort. P.S. Original owner had grown so attached to the puppy he contemplated giving him up at all. I gave him $600 instead of agreed upon $400 and promised a permanent and final home settlement for the dog. Promise I now must break. And for all my understanding of him and his needs, I failed in many ways as an owner and lacked consistnecy. Looking for a better owner for him. If you're someone who can handle his personality + physical needs and can keep a promise better than me I will bring him over & and cooperate in the process as much as needed and will ask to be paid as much as $0
