About Dixie

Dixie is VERY Strong, playful, sweet, slobbery, loving, protective, & housebroken. She knows a few simple commands. She's Not very tolerant of temperature extremes. She only likes darkness for sleeping at night. Her nose is phenomenal!! Her hearing is fantastic! I don't think she sees well. She weighed 108 lbs in August when she got her shots & Bordetella vaccine. She is 3yrs old. Her former owner mostly kept her in a cage in a house. There were 5 other animals in the house, but her cage kept her from them. She's very strong so now I use a harness whenever she goes outside. (I do use her cage for 'time-out', but...). She loves long walks, especially in fields or woods. She has done well passing strange humans, but with horses, or other dogs she Barks & pulls. (She hates my neighbor's dog because he teases her while she's on cable or leaves his scent for her). I couldn't get her an appointment to get spayed until January. (For the right home (fit) I would be willing to help get her spayed!!) She's a Great dog!! I wish I could keep her but I can't, & I Love her enough to find her a better home.
