About Dewey

Dewey is an incredibly sweet, playful, and energetic cat with so much love to give. He is a very chatty and vocal little boy who just wants to follow you around and be your shadow. Dewey loves pets and is a huge lap cat - his preference to have at least one paw on or near you at all times. He is still young, so he lets you know when he's done receiving pets with a light nibble, but otherwise he never bites, hisses, or scratches. Dewey is soooo playful and honestly acts more like a dog than a cat. His favorite activity in the world is hair ties, particularly when you fling the hair tie across the room - he loves fetching and will drop it right at your feet! He is very self sufficient and has no problem entertaining himself, although I do think he would also work well in a home with another young, playful cat(s); he grew up in a cat colony and I think he misses playing with other energetic cats. Dewey knows his name very well and is great at listening/coming when I call his name. He also has phenomenal litter box manners. He is very food motivated and loves treats, he'll eat just about anything. Dewey's cute little meows will absolutely melt your heart. I'm devastated to be rehoming Dewey, but unfortunately my older resident cat is very timid and shy, and he mistakes Dewey's playfulness as a threat, which has caused my resident cat an enormous amount of stress. If you're looking for unconditional love from the sweetest little gentleman, please consider making Dewey a member of your family.
