Tulsi is estimated to be around 8 years old, and she is a VERY small cat weighing just 6 pounds. Tulsi showed up at an apartment complex several months ago, and since cats never venture more than two blocks away from their home, it is suspected she was abandoned there. There was a family that was feeding her outside, and she was always spotted on their outdoor mat all curled up longing to go inside. During hurricane Helene, she was still curled up on that mat fighting the winds and rain, so a kind woman took her into her home to foster her and help find her a home. Tulsi looked very familiar and comfortable with being indoors, so we believe she was with a family inside a home before they abandoned her. She was taken to the vet and it was discovered she is already spayed, and since her ear is not tipped (outside community cats are the ones that get their ear tipped when they are spayed or neutered), it gives more evidence that she was abandoned. Tulsi is EXTREMELY affectionate, and her purrs are so loud you can hear her from another room. She loves being carried and cuddled. She has a wonderful temperament, and she likes to be around her human as much as possible. We don't know how she is with other cats or dogs because the woman fostering her has no dogs, and she is keeping her cats separated from her because one of them is very aggressive with newcomers. It's why she can't keep Tulsi, so we must find her a home as soon as possible as right now she is staying in a bathroom with no window. Tulsi wants a family that gives her lots of affection and is committed to her so she doesn't get abandoned again.
