Meet Sebastian-a 4.5-month-old Lab mix with a heart as big as his whopping 45 pounds! This sweet boy is full of life and energy, with a silky black coat and a goofy personality that will win you over in no time. Sebastian has had quite a journey-he and his two siblings were brought to Illinois after being bred to be sold at a flea market! They were rescued from that terrible situation and now Sebastian is ready to find his forever home! Sebastian loves to explore and play with his toys, but most of all, he loves being around people. He's a huge people person, always seeking attention and affection from his humans. While he enjoys playing outside with his foster siblings, it doesn't take long before he's back at the door, eager to be inside with his favorite humans. This lovable boy is very smart and is picking up his basic commands. He has go 'sit' down and is working on 'wait' and 'down'. With continued training, he will master these and more in no time. He is eager to please and loves the praise he receives when learning. He is not a big fan of his crate. This is because he and his 2 siblings were kept in an extremely small area with no room to turn around. He felt trapped in that situation but has learned that a crate is different, it's his den and his safe place when his humans aren't home. It helps that he gets a special frozen Kong toy when he needs to be in the crate. He understands that when the crate is covered, then it's time to go to bed/sleep but he appreciates that his foster family sleeps in the same room with him Sebastian's ideal home would have another dog to play with and a family who are eager to work with him to continue his training. He has so much love and fun to offer in return. If you're looking for a sweet, energetic, and eager-to-please pup, Sebastian could be the perfect fit for your family.
