Riggs, a four-year-old shepherd-retriever mix, is a one-of-a-kind dog. He is large and gentle, timid and friendly all at once. When Riggs arrived at the shelter, he was a scared pup who had experienced hard times. But he has opened up tremendously and is a joy to be around. Riggs is an old soul who loves treats and slow walks while exploring the forest trails. He can be timid around groups of dogs and would do well as your one and only pup. But Riggs would also be open to another gentle dog to pal around with once he feels at home. Riggs would like nothing more than to settle into a calm, loving home. His needs are simple - daily walks, good food to eat, and a devoted family. Come meet Riggs; he's the greatest. http://clatsopcounty.animalshelternet.com/adoption_animal_details.cfm?AnimalUID=317996 Pet meet and greets are by appointment, so if you'd like to meet Riggs, call the shelter at 503-861-7387 or stop by the lobby to set up a time. The shelter is open from 9:30 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday and closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch.
