About Kip

Adoption Fee: $350
Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Kip. He is a 4 years old Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix who weighs about 45 pounds. He does have a docked tail. Kip knows quite a bit: Sit, lay down, stay, come, shake, 'paw', off. He also knows shake and paw. Kip is also house trained. Kip is good with men, women, and kids. He sometimes barks when he sees new people but he is polite when someone wants to touch him. He would be fine in a home with older kids. Kip is good with other dogs, and he does best with bigger dogs who usually prefer to play with him. Kip tends to try to herd smaller dogs or they just coexist. Kip is good on leash and good in the car so is a good adventure buddy for traveling and hiking. Kip also likes to fetch but doesn't always bring it ALL the way back to you. Kip is looking for a home without small kids, since he has started to nip the toddler in the home when the toddler has pushed Kip. Kip has just gotten tired of the toddler's antics and is ready for a quieter home with no small kids. He has been fine with all older kids he has met. Kip loves to cuddle and does form a solid bond with his person. He is best friend material, ready to be kept active. Kip is neutered and does need his vaccines updated. He is located in Bonsall, CA, and is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. We do not ship dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
