About Cooper

Hi! My name is Cooper. I was brought in to a shelter in Ohio off the street as a 4 week old puppy. My mom rescued me when I was 11 months old. I have so much love to give. I need someone who is patient and who can work with me around my infrequent aggression. It started as leash reactivity, and since then, I was attacked at the dog park. Now, while I love to be social, I have picked up some reactive aggressive behaviors. I am highly treat motivated; my mom has trained me to sit, wait at all crosswalks, lie down, shake, high five, 'leave it,' and even wait for my food. I am great with kids! When we go to the dog park, I love to get all the pets from all the humans. I do have some separation anxiety and chronic allergies. This is the owner-- I was recently laid off from my job. I am working in hospitality again, and due to financial constraints, I simply do not have the time to dedicate to this sweet boy. He saved my life and has such a good heart. I know he means well. He would do best in a home with no other dogs and an owner who can dedicate time to working with him. Please, please contact me if you can help, even just to foster.
