About Hank

LOCATION: Lovelady, TX DOB:08/30/2015 Meet Hank, a sweet senior gentleman who was minutes away from being put down in a shelter due to mobility issues from a heatstroke and wet kennel. Hank has made a remarkable recovery and has integrated perfectly into home life. Hank does great with people and other dogs. He would do well in a home with children aged 12 and up due to his size. He will thrive with an owner who can set some boundaries. Hank has excellent manners-he doesn't counter surf, doesn't chew, and goes to the door when he needs to potty. He mostly stays off the furniture, except for his foster's bed, and will happily lay down on his dog bed. Hank doesn't like to 'sit,' likely because it hurts his hips, but he is incredibly sweet. Like any senior Dane, he has some arthritis. Despite this, Hank is as bouncy as ever, reminiscent of Tigger. He would benefit from a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play. He is a very messy eater and drinker, but his charming personality more than makes up for it. Hank is a wonderful companion who needs a family that can show him some boundaries and provide him with the love and care he deserves in his golden years.
