Located Downtown martinsburg, wv I'm looking to rehome my dog, a sweet 6-year-old, 60lb, German Shepherd mix (part Husky and Lab) who's been a big part of my life. I've tried for 6 years, even moved states to make it work, but he's just not suited for apartment living. About Him: �'ۢ Neutered and up to date on all shots �'ۢ Good with other dogs, cats, and small animals, though he's nervous around kids �'ۢ Moderate energy level and very gentle with the people he bonds with Needs: He does have some challenges. He's protective and will bark at strangers outside of his 'pack,' in territory, which we haven't been able to fully overcome despite years of effort. He also has some separation anxiety, which can lead to barking fits, though he's made progress. I've been putting him back on his anti-anxiety meds, I highly recommend you keep him on them, he is much happier on them. He needs an experienced dog person, ideally familiar with German Shepherds, who uses gentle, positive training methods-he's sensitive and doesn't respond well to aversive techniques.
