Meet Petie, formerly known as 'church girl,' a stray who has captured many hearts. Currently residing in Mico, TX, Petie is looking for a foster-to-adopt home. She's around 1 or 2 years old and is believed to be spayed, as she hasn't had a heat cycle in several months. The vet suspects she has a spay scar but couldn't confirm for sure. This is why Petie is available as a foster-to-adopt rather than a straight adoption, though the rest of her vetting has been completed. Petie's backstory is one of resilience. She was found in a church parking lot, surviving on the kindness of passersby who fed her pizza. A compassionate Good Samaritan earned her trust and took her in. Though she did a trial run with a home, her high energy and puppy-like enthusiasm were a bit too much for them. Petie is a really sweet girl with a higher energy level. She's great with dogs of all sizes and genders. While she hasn't met any cats, her friendly nature suggests she might be okay with them. Petie hasn't met kids yet, but she'd likely do well with them, though she might accidentally knock smaller children over. Petie is house and crate trained. Although no resource guarding has been seen, it's always possible given her history as a stray searching for food.
