About Augustus 'Gus'

I moved back in with my husband and his german shepherd doesn't like Gus. He consistently tries attacking my dog. Gus is extremely fearful of him. I have had him for 2 years, he was a foster fail from an Animal Shelter in AZ. I dont know much of his history prior to me, other than some neglect and we suspect abuse. He is current on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and has had bilateral entropian surgery on both eyes. Hes loves women, terrified of men, loves girl children, and unsure of himself arouns boy children. He is an amazing dog, very loving, does great on a leash, not great in any kind of kennel situation. Loves little dogs, fearful of dogs more than 40lbs. I recently moved back to WI with the intent of keeping Gus, but I will not put him in any sort of traumatizing situation. The drama with the dogs has caused a huge wedge between my husband and I, and he refuses to try and rehome or try to train his dog. Im at my wits end and need some kind of help or guidance. Rehoming Gus is the last thing I want to do, but I don't know what else to do for him other than leave my husband and moved back to arizona.
