About Cleo

Cleo is a mellow dog that does well around people, other dogs, cats and small children. He is trained by a local facility in obedience training but does still go against some commands depending on his mood. He can be very loving and want to cuddle and other times wants to rough house or run around the yard barking into the air. He has a cat-like mentality where he's very independent and wants to do things his own way. He loves being outside and sometimes doesn't want to come in. He is sometimes a handful with how independent and stubborn he can be. Loves to go for walks but always wants to pull and sniff around. Responds well to high value treats but can get tired of the same treat if you don't cycle them out often enough. Will play fetch for a few minutes but stop and not be interested anymore. He does sometimes get defensive with bones and treats from people and other animals. He loves to meet new people and becomes very vocal, but always gentle. There are times where he may try and jump on people, but it's not often and he's gotten better at it. He loves to wrestle with other dogs but doesn't know when to stop unless he's tired out which can be an issue for some other dogs. He's never bitten anyone and has not had any aggressive behavior towards strangers. He does try and be dominant around men and can have some aggressive signs, but never has gotten to a dangerous point. He requires ample space and activity to keep him in a good mood. This is a livestock breed and needs the space to run. He loves to cuddle in bed with people and loves to lay on the couch. He's tall and weighs roughly 90 pounds.
