About Charlie

This fluffy, handsome guy is Charlie, a Cattle Dog /Great Pyrenees mix who weighs about 65 pounds. He is around 1.5 years old. He lives in a busy home and would prefer to live in a quieter home. Charlie is a smart guy who knows his basics: Sit, down, come, leave it, stay, go to bed (crate). He is also house and crate trained. As is typical of both breeds, Charlie prefers to be ignored when meeting strangers. He will approach, smell, and then hang out until he gets to know a new person. For those he knows, he is a cuddly, loyal guy. He has been known to nip a few heels for those he doesn't know, so prefers a home that is quieter. He isn't a social butterfly but more of a loyal boy. Charlie is generally good with other dogs. He lives with a medium and small dog, and gets a long great with both. He is gentle when he is playing with the small dog. Charlie is also nice with cats. Charlie is good on leash and walks politely past other dogs. He is also good on the car, so is a good travel buddy. Charlie is an amazing boy. He has the brains of a Cattle Dog; He is very smart and eager to please, so learns commands quickly. He also has the mellow nature of the Great Pyrenees. He is a Velcro dog that loves to follow his human around. He loves to cuddle at night and get belly rubs. His face is also very expressive which is funny to watch and deepens the emotional bond. Charlie is neutered and current on vaccinations. He is located in Solana Beach, San Diego Co. Charlie is ready to meet adopters who can meet and adopt here. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
