About Mocha

We rescued this sweet girl from Merced,CA in hopes of giving our Shiba a new sister and giving mocha a chance to be a Shiba sister as well but e were given minimal information when we went to see her. The current owner said she was going on two years old but her vaccination record stated she might actually be turning 3 in April. The last time she was vaccinated was June of 2023 according to records they provided us. So she will need to be vaccinated. She just currently finished a cycle and will need to be spayed as well. It just saddens me that we're not able to keep her, our Shiba and her had a small fight in which mocha bit her tail over treats. Mocha is very food motivated, has a really good appetite and is protective of her food. Mocha does come when call, she does know sit and stay but just like your typical Shiba, she can be stubborn. We were told that she can be an escape artist but with fence high enough, she'll be ok. She loves sleeping with us on the bed and dislike being crated since that's what her previous owner did was crated her for hours on end. She walks really good on a leash and she seems to do ok with other dogs. After rescuing her, we noticed she e wasn't groomed at all. Her nails were so long and she was skinnier. She did come from a home with another corgi and cat. She's a little skidding when she's not aware of you putting her but she is a sucker.
