About 'BOWSER'

Courtesy Posting: URGENT! SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY SHELTER IS 'SUPER FULL' AND ASKING FOR HELP TO FIND YOUNG, FRIENDLY CHOW/SPITZ X BOY 'BOWSER' ID #A313892 A WONDERFUL HOME, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE. Bowser is a very handsome chow mix believed to be four years young, and his shelter bio says, ' I am actually a pretty happy little dude! I seem to like people and would just like a new home of my own! I am a petit guy, likely about 45 pounds. And I do have the Chow Chow signature purple tongue. We are double coated dogs and do require a little more coat maintenance. I seem to do ok with other dogs. However, proper introductions are a good idea. if you have already fallen for my adorable face, please come on down to meet me.' The shelter also just sent us nice video showing Bowser enjoying play time in the yard with an active female german shepherd. The shelter let us know 'he is not an overly active dog but definitely seemed to enjoy his play time.' If you would like to adopt Bowser (or foster locally through the shelter), please contact the shelter by calling San Luis Obispo County Animal Services at (805) 781-4400 and ask for Shannon or Halley. Please ALSO contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with his placement, particularly if you need further help and or are interested in fostering (but further away), as rescue groups also need a foster to save him too. The shelter is open from 1-5 Monday through Saturday and until 7 pm on Wednesday evenings.
