About Maverick

This is Maverick and he is between 3-4 years old. He was found by a boat slip near Lake Norman back in April and my husband and I have tried adopting him with our 9 year old female bluetick, 3 year old female walker hound, and 9 year old female Australian shepherd Labrador mix, but he doesn't like our 9 year old bluetick. He plays rough with our youngest dog. It seems he may do better by himself. He loves snuggling and being around me and my husband. We don't have any kids so not entirely sure how he would be with them. When we first got him it was apparent he had been on his own for awhile and he was a little reluctant at first. He still is reluctant around strangers, but once he knows you he is super friendly. He obeys basic commands and has lived in a home before, but he did initially show signs of fear as in he may have been abused. When he was originally found, we attempted to find his original owners for many weeks. We kind of suspect he was abandoned, but don't know for sure. Please text me if interested.
