About Ricky

Ricky was found running the streets of San Antonio. Just one more in a long list of dogs that get lost and end up in the shelter or if they are lucky they get picked up and taken to a rescue. Ricky is one of the lucky ones. He was not neutered and did not have a microchip. Too many dogs are lost this way. Ricky was running with two other dogs when he was discovered. The two others were picked up and brought to our rescue first. Ricky was so scared and appeared to have been through such rough times that he had to be trapped in order to get him picked up. Ricky is still a little shy but he has come a long way in his ability to trust again. Ricky is now neutered and microchipped! He had been examined by our vet, heartworm tested and vaccinated as well. Now he just needs to find the perfect family that will care for him and provide him with the love and devotion he deserves! If you think you may be the right fit for Joey, let us know!
