About Duke

Duke is a large, sweet, lazy boy who loves sleeping on his king size bed or in the shade in tall grass (our flowerbed and pepper plants are flattened lol). He loves wandering our 5 acres with his dog sister, who's a boxer/pit bull mix. He'd do really well on a farm or somewhere with lots of land but he's lived in a small house with a small yard before and did just fine. He's been trained to not leave the yard so we never have to worry about him running away. He can go in and out as he pleases during the day but he mostly prefers the indoors. He gets tired easily on walks but loves a good short stroll. Loves babies and kids - tries to lick them! Rarely barks. Occasionally he will if he sees a stranger so he can be a good watch dog. He's a hype man so if another dark barks he might join in on the fun. Not a fan of baths but he handles them really well. Just give him a treat after and he'll forgive you :). He can get a little food aggressive with other dogs but it's not often. Lives with cats and had lived with four other dogs at one point. Good around our chickens. Just a sweet boy who needs a loving home that loves a chill, jowly, big dog. My elderly parents are moving and can no longer take care of him. Would love to see him in good hands.
